She enjoyed baking and making pies for the Albion Elks Club, making Christmas cookies for her friends every year and particularly enjoyed her weekly Tuesday morning breakfast club group including longtime friend Elaine Miller. Always one to stay busy, Marilyn enjoyed working alongside her husband running their yard sale business in Shelby. She assisted her son Bernie in many home renovations over the years. She was a natural problem solver and was known to be able to fix just about anything.
